How much did I score in the Quant ability test and how much did my friend score? Anyway, what is the class average? How can I face my classmates?
OR
How much did I score this time in the test compared to last time? Am I in the level I have expected myself to be? How can I enhance my score?
Above are 2 sets of questions that lead to different paths, paths which lead to different destinations.
The first set conveys that we give priority to others’ thoughts more than our own. We fall prey to others’ judgements; judgements that add no value to us. We modify our behaviour to suit others’ convenience.
The second set conveys that we turn to ourselves when we require any advice to enhance our performance every time we try. We consider ourselves to be our own competitor and set achievable goals based on our own capacity.
In today’s fast revolutionising environment, we often get carried away by peoples’ thoughts and actions. Well, that is a good practice one way. It helps us to capture a good few pointers which we can incorporate to set our ‘Goal Achieving spree’ into motion and extend our best foot forward.
We must remember that when we learn something, we must not give shelter to inferiority complex if we are not able to master it the first time. We must not compare ourselves to anyone else because the most beautiful truth is that we are UNIQUE. We are a shade apart. We are one of a kind.
Let’s aim at discovering and bridging the gaps between our expectations and reality and reflecting it in our own personality rather than investing our time and energy in finding or, can I say hunting the punctures in others’ character. Let’s start a chain of ‘Individual Revolution and Reflection’ where we concentrate on individual improvement to achieve group perfection.
Let’s become a better version of ourselves everyday. When we do so, the world will turn into a beautiful place to reside in.
Let us set our eyes upon and be on our toes TO BETTER OUR STRIKE EVERY TIME WE TAKE AIM.
