‘Prove that sin90°+cos0° = 2.’ We come across such mathematical formulations in our higher studies and in order to secure the alloted marks we must prove the above statement but, do we have to mirror the same when it comes to proving our abilities to the world?
In today’s competitive environment, we often tend to justify ourselves, our thoughts and actions amongst a crowd to obtain their approval. We also often mistake approval for appreciation.
Before I plunge into the main point, I want to convey something. Their is just a hairline difference between proving our abilities and showcasing them and that difference is trust. People who believe in us and our potential will never demand any sort of authentication. Contrary to the same will never be spectators in a forum meant for showcasing talent.
I don’t understand or even for the matter-of-fact, see the need of any sort of attestation for our talent by people but our door should always be open for feedback and even criticism to an extent to bridge the gaps in our rendition.
When we are flourishing in a particular aspect, it becomes a see-through for all those who seek to respect and acknowledge it. I again emphasise on the same point that we must not prove ourself if we have the confidence and capacity to showcase it.
If we get a message from our inner self that we are doing what we love to and have complete faith in our abilities, that is absolutely proof enough for us and the entire world. Let us listen to ourselves and if we obtain self-satisfaction through our deeds, it is a testimony which we will gift to ourselves.
So, in a nutshell, I would like to keep things straight.
Talent doesn’t require validation. It just requires support and good wishes.
Satisfaction is the award for our abilities.
Lastly, I would like to say that not being crowned in front of people doesn’t mean that we aren’t worth the crown, it just means we are in the race to come back bigger and better.
